To Our City Leaders

There are many ways you can make your voice heard. It is very important to let the City leaders know you are concerned about the future of the Tower Theatre and the Tower District community. Your opinion matters!

Please stay tuned for ways you can engage with the City in support of keeping the Tower Theatre

accessible to the community in equitable ways.

Our previous campaigns to #SaveTower resulted in thousands of letters, public comment, and zoning complaints to the City of Fresno throughout 2021 and just prior to the Council vote to purchase the theatre in April of 2022.

PUBLIC COMMENT AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS:

Give public comment at any of the below city council meetings regarding the lack of enforcement of zoning in the case of Adventure Church operating in the Tower Theatre! Make plans to attend in advance. Remind them that the City has taken NO action to protect local businesses and to treat Tower equitably.
Full info on speaking to #SaveTower is here.

REPORT ZONING VIOLATIONS EVERY SUNDAY:

Whenever Adventure Church (or any other public or religious assembly not zoned for the Tower Theatre) occurs, please report it to the City of Fresno Code Enforcement. Contact Information, Sample Letter, & Sample Phone Script to report to Code Enforcement

WRITE TO THE CITY TO INSIST THEY ENFORCE THE ZONING

The city of Fresno has thus far declined to officially cite Tower Theatre Properties and Adventure Church for zoning violations creating a “de facto” rezone in our neighborhood which creates business insecurity and harms the affirming culture of our neighborhood. Write to the City Council, Mayor, and Chief of Police to insist they enforce the laws of their own city.
